Ford County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or pull official booking records. Use the originating office below for a current answer or a records request.
Ford County Contact Points
For a jail question, booking record, or booking photo, begin with the Ford County Sheriff's Office. The official county page identifies the jail and the sheriff's records route at the same Paxton address.

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
FOIA officer: Barbara King, Chief Confidential Assistant.
Written FOIA requests should be sent to the Sheriff's Office FOIA officer at the address above.
When making a request, include the name used at booking, an approximate arrest or intake date, and the arresting agency if known. Ask separately for the booking record and the booking photograph. The sheriff's page does not publish a separate photo form, fee schedule, or guaranteed photo turnaround, so the office should explain any cost, withholding, or redaction.
Use the following official routes for the question that needs an answer:
- Booking record or booking photo: ask the Ford County Sheriff's Office and identify it as a written Illinois FOIA request. The sheriff's office is the county route for Ford County Jail intake and custody records.
- Incident report: contact Paxton Police Department for a Paxton matter or the Gibson City Police Department for a Gibson City matter. For Piper City, the village directs police-service questions to the Ford County Sheriff's Department.
- Case and disposition: use the Ford County Circuit Clerk and its Ford County Judici case search for the filed case, first appearance, release conditions, and later disposition. A booking charge is an allegation and is not a conviction.
- State custody: search the official Illinois Department of Corrections offender-search hub. IDOC covers state-corrections custody, not every new county booking or a person released from Ford County Jail.
- Federal or immigration custody: use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator for federal custody or the ICE Online Detainee Locator for immigration custody. Neither replaces the Ford County Jail inquiry.
- Custody notifications: check Illinois VINE for available custody or case-status notifications. VINE is a notification service, not a booking-photo source.
